Our FAST Progress Monitoring 3 Schedule will be the one we have used previously this year for PM 1 & 2 and for Writing.

Our EOC schedule had to be adjusted since we will not be able to use the Media Center for testing.

In consultation with the National Weather Service and Leon County Emergency Management we have made the decision to delay school start times tomorrow (4/11/2024) by 1 hour. The National Weather Service and Leon County Emergency Management are predicting that a strong line of thunderstorms will be passing through Leon County between the hours of 3-7am. Once a student submits the application, the School Guidance Counselor will receive an email notification of the submission. This summer, CARE is inviting rising high school seniors from across the state of Florida to participate in a free, immersive college readiness program called the CARE Summer Seminoles Program.

The CARE Summer Seminoles Program, which will take place from June 18 through July 1, consists of two, one-week institutes with sessions focused on college preparedness, social engagement, and mock college scenarios to introduce students to certain aspects of college life as well as guide them through the process of completing college applications. The Florida Department of Education has updated the names and coding of events that are to be reported in the School Environmental Safety Incident Reporting (hereafter referred to as SESIR.) SESIR pertains to safety incidents that occur on campus. SESIR events are not exclusive to students, and anyone who commits a SESIR worthy act on a school campus will have their action listed on that schools SESIR report.

Godby High School will be hosting the Jesse Forbes Middle School Track Meet Friday (2/24) at 3:00 PM and the Jesse Forbes High School Invitational Track Meet Saturday (2/25) starting at 10:00 AM.

Leon Works Junior Apprenticeship program is now accepting applications for the Fall semester for rising Juniors and Seniors!

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Leon Works Junior Apprenticeship program, this program offers a wonderful opportunity for Leon County high school juniors/seniors to prepare for a skilled career - those jobs requiring more than a high school diploma, but less than a four-year degree. By the year 2026, over 70,000 skilled jobs will be available in the Leon County area. To prepare students to fill these jobs, Leon County Government is partnering with CareerSource Capital Region and Leon

The City of Tallahassee currently has summer job openings for the Tallahassee Future Leaders Academy (TFLA)!

TFLA hires about 100 local high school students finishing their Freshman – Senior year of high school who live in Tallahassee to work part time for 8 weeks (24 hours / week) this summer for the City, earning and learning in a variety of areas. It is an opportunity to gain work experience at a job placement, visit college campuses, develop financial literacy, grow knowledge of how to impact our community, and expand leadership skills – all while earning a paycheck and gaining new
