I am sure many of you have heard of the devastation that Godby High School experienced during the heavy rains in Tallahassee on Wednesday evening. It was very painful to see our beloved campus in such a manner. A total of 80% of the campus has water damage. The district is working very hard round the clock to help us get the buildings back up and running as soon as possible. However, many of our teachers have lost personal items purchased to enhance their classroom, along with band instruments, sheet music and books being destroyed.
We are excited to see each of you who will be in attendance at this years Hall of Fame dinner. As a reminder, the dinner is tomorrow evening, Friday, April 5, 2024 @ 6pm at Godby High School Media Center. If you have any questions, please feel free to respond to this email.

Hello Godby High Alumni, The Association of Godby Graduates (AGG) is so proud Chelsea Johnson. Ms. Chelsea Johnson has been named the 2021 Glenn-Howell Award recipient. This is a great honor in the Leon County School District and recognizes great Educators. Chelsea is a 2005 Godby High graduate. She is currently a Teacher and Coach for Godby High School. Chelsea was inducted into the AGG Hall of Fame in 2019. Congratulations Ms. Chelsea Johnson. Go Cougars.
It is with much regret that I must send this email. However, under the circumstances the Hall of Fame committee believes this decision to be our best option.
The committee has unanimously decided, in the interest of everyone’s health and the success of our Hall of Fame, that we must again delay the Dinner and Induction ceremony another year until March 2022.

Mark your calendar, The Hall of Fame Banquet will return on Friday March 26, 2021. As you recall we were unable to celebrate the 2020 inductees this year, so we will celebrate the inductees on March 26, 2021.

Hello Godby Alumni, I regret to announce that the Hall of Fame committee has decided to cancel the Hall of Fame Banquet this year and induct the new Hall of Fame honorees next March 2021. This is not an easy decision however in the abundance of caution, it is simply not worth the risk to continue with the plans. Additionally, a short postponement is very problematic due to interference with other scheduled event. We have talked with each honoree and they are very understanding and are on board for next year. As you know, The Hall of Fame is also

The 2007 Association of Godby Graduates (AGG) Hall of Fame Induction/Dinner was a great success. If you are a Godby grad and like talking and hearing about your high school years, this is a must-do event. The chance to visit with an old principal, teacher or classmate is something I relish and enjoy. The 2007 AGG Hall of Fame provided all of that and more.
The Hall of Fame Induction/Dinner was outstanding. I will send a lengthy recap in the next couple of days. For now, you can go to our web site to find pictures of the event.
This Friday is the big night. I have about 18 seats remaining. Please email me to reserve a seat and you can pay at the door. Tickets are $10 each. Mr. Bill Montford and Mrs. Merry Ortega (formerly McDaris) will be on hand to help recognize our inductees. Dont miss this event.

Kudos to Jean Ferguson our new principle for scoring this new program.

It is with great sorrow that I must inform you of our loss last week at the hands of Pensacola Washington. We fought ferociously. Our boys played extremely well. We were leading 30 to 28. With only 6 seconds left in the game, Washington lined up to kick a 37 yard field goal. Our coaches called three consecutive timeouts in an effort to rattle the opposing kicker.
